osatiiv
Osatiiv is a grammatical case described in certain Finno-Ugric languages as marking a partial object or a portion of a whole. Semantically, it conveys that only part of the referent is involved, roughly corresponding to English phrases like some of or in part of. In many linguistic traditions osatiiv is treated as a specialization of the partitive, though some grammars chart it as a distinct case with its own morphophonology and rules.
