originista
Originista refers to a political tendency or movement primarily associated with Argentina. It emerged in the late 1960s and gained significant traction during the 1970s. The core ideology of originismo centers on a critique of what its proponents viewed as deviations from the foundational principles of Peronism, particularly as established by Juan Domingo Perón himself. Originistas believed that subsequent Peronist leaders had compromised or abandoned these original ideals, leading to a need for a return to what they considered the authentic Peronist doctrine.
The movement often emphasized social justice, national sovereignty, and a strong role for the working class.
