The primary purpose of orWinsorizing is to improve the robustness of statistical analyses by reducing the skewness or kurtosis introduced by outliers. Unlike traditional Winsorizing, which may apply asymmetric trimming, orWinsorizing ensures balanced treatment of extreme values from both ends of the distribution.
