Normene is a fictional sovereign nation used in world-building and storytelling. In its built-in chronology, it is a temperate, landlocked republic on the continent of Nordria, with Ardentia as its capital.

The name Normene is a constructed term inspired by Latin “norma” meaning standard and by imagined linguistic roots in Nordrian languages; it is not tied to a real-world country.

Normene covers about 20,000 square kilometers and features rolling hills, deciduous forests, and the Greyspire mountain range in its eastern edge. The Serene River flows through agricultural lowlands.

Normene began as a federation of counties in the medieval era and became a constitutional republic after a reform movement in the 19th century; it integrated into regional trade networks in the 20th.
