nonsubmersibility
Nonsubmersibility refers to the characteristic of an object or vehicle that prevents it from being submerged or completely immersed in a liquid, typically water. This property is often a design consideration for marine vessels, aircraft, and even certain types of equipment. For a vessel to be nonsubmersible, it must possess sufficient buoyancy to remain afloat, even when subjected to various forces. Buoyancy is generated by the displacement of a volume of liquid whose weight is equal to or greater than the weight of the object.
The design of a nonsubmersible object often involves specific hull shapes, material choices, and internal compartmentalization
