Nestevesieristeisiin is a Finnish term used in discussions about insulation technology. It is a compound formed from neste (fluid) and eristeisiin (insulations) and is sometimes used to refer to insulation concepts in which liquids serve as the insulating medium or are circulated within an insulation system. The term is not standardized and may have different interpretations in different texts; in practice it may describe several approaches that use liquids to reduce heat transfer in a structure or device.

Advantages of liquid insulation include high heat capacity, good contact with irregular geometries, and potential for active temperature management. Challenges include leak risk, weight, potential corrosion, viscosity and flow considerations, freezing or boiling of the liquid, and environmental concerns.
