It is a major producer of petroleum products and a leading developer of renewable fuels, most notably renewable diesel produced using the NExBTL technology and Neste MY Renewable Diesel. Founded in 1948 as a state-owned company to secure domestic oil supply, Neste expanded its footprint in the refining and marketing of fuels during the late 20th century.
