Neste Corporation, commonly referred to as Neste, is a Finnish multinational energy company. It is a major producer of petroleum products and a leading developer of renewable fuels, most notably renewable diesel produced using the NExBTL technology and Neste MY Renewable Diesel. The company is headquartered in Espoo, Finland, and operates globally through refining facilities, marketing networks, and joint ventures.

Founded in 1948 as a state-owned company to secure domestic oil supply, Neste expanded its footprint in the refining and marketing of fuels during the late 20th century. It adopted different names as it reorganized into a broader energy corporation and eventually began trading as Neste Corporation in the 2010s.

Core operations include refining and distributing petroleum products, lubricants, and base oils, as well as producing and marketing scalable renewable fuels. In addition to its Porvoo refinery in Finland, Neste operates or participates in refining and logistics facilities around the world, with sales and service networks in more than a hundred countries.

Neste places emphasis on sustainability and decarbonization, aiming to reduce life-cycle greenhouse gas emissions from its fuels and to expand suppliers of renewable inputs. The company has faced scrutiny over palm oil and other feedstocks in its renewable fuels supply but has taken steps to strengthen traceability and sustainability standards, including participation in sustainability certification schemes.

Neste is listed on the Nasdaq Helsinki stock exchange and operates as a publicly traded company with a global workforce and a portfolio that includes both traditional petroleum products and renewable fuels.
