Naturhistorisk is an adjective used in several Scandinavian languages to denote matters relating to natural history. Derived from the Latin roots for nature and history, it describes disciplines, collections, institutions and activities concerned with the description, classification and interpretation of plants, animals, fossils and other components of the natural world.
