A müürid (plural: müüridîn or müüridînât) is a term derived from the Arabic word *murīd*, meaning "seeker" or "one who aspires." In the context of Sufism, a mystical branch of Islam, a müürid refers to a disciple or follower who seeks spiritual guidance and enlightenment under the tutelage of a shaykh (spiritual master). The relationship between a müürid and a shaykh is central to Sufi practice, emphasizing mentorship, discipline, and the pursuit of inner transformation.

The müürid undertakes a path of spiritual development, often involving rituals, meditation, ethical conduct, and the study of Islamic mysticism.
