Munasarjafolliikulid refer to the structures within the ovary that house and nurture developing egg cells, also known as oocytes. These structures play a critical role in female reproduction. Each follikuliid begins as a primordial follikuliid, which contains an immature egg cell surrounded by a layer of cells. As a woman matures, a process called follicular development occurs, where a select group of these primordial follikuliidid begin to grow and mature under the influence of hormones.
