Modaalipitoisuudet, or modal frequencies, refer to the frequencies at which data points are most densely clustered within a particular dataset. In statistical terms, it represents the peak of a frequency distribution. Unlike the mean or median, which are measures of central tendency, the mode specifically identifies the most frequent value or values. A dataset can have one mode (unimodal), two modes (bimodal), or more than two modes (multimodal). If all values occur with the same frequency, the dataset is considered to have no mode.
Modaalipitoisuudet are particularly useful for understanding the typical or most common occurrence within a set of
