The selection of a specific mineral filler depends on the desired properties of the final product and the compatibility with the base material. Particle size, shape, and surface treatment of the filler are critical factors influencing its performance. Surface treatments, such as silane coupling agents, are often applied to improve the dispersion of the filler within the matrix and to enhance the adhesion between the filler particles and the polymer. This leads to improved mechanical properties and overall product performance.
