Minaretek is a term that refers to a small or miniature minaret. Minarets themselves are characteristic architectural features of mosques, typically tall, slender towers from which the muezzin calls the faithful to prayer. The term "minaretek" is not a formally recognized architectural term in classical Islamic architecture but is more likely to be used in informal contexts or in discussions about modern, sometimes ornamental, mosque designs.

These smaller versions might appear in contemporary mosque constructions where space is limited, or where a less imposing aesthetic is desired. They can also be found as decorative elements in homes or gardens that incorporate Islamic architectural motifs. The function of a true minaret, to broadcast the adhan (call to prayer), is often absent in a minaretek, as they are too small to accommodate a muezzin or the necessary acoustics.

The design of a minaretek can vary greatly, often mirroring the style of larger, traditional minarets but on a reduced scale. They might be made of stone, brick, or modern materials. While traditional minarets are integral to the religious and communal life of a mosque, minaretek are generally considered decorative or symbolic. Their presence can add a visual connection to Islamic heritage without the full functional or structural commitment of a full-sized minaret.
