Mikrobaatit, also known as microbats, are a group of small bats that belong to the family Microchiroptera. They are characterized by their small size, typically ranging from 2 to 15 centimeters in length, and their relatively long, narrow wings. Microbats are found on every continent except Antarctica and Australia, and they inhabit a wide variety of habitats, including forests, caves, and urban areas.

There are over 100 species of microbats, which can be further divided into two subfamilies: Vespertilioninae and Rhinolophidae. Vespertilioninae includes species such as the common pipistrelle and the brown long-eared bat, while Rhinolophidae includes horseshoe bats and other species with distinctive noses.

Microbats play a crucial role in their ecosystems as pollinators and seed dispersers. They are also important indicators of environmental health, as their populations can be affected by factors such as habitat loss, pollution, and climate change.

Despite their ecological importance, many microbat species are threatened by human activities. Conservation efforts are underway to protect these bats and their habitats, including the establishment of protected areas and the implementation of regulations to reduce human-wildlife conflict.
