macrocosmic
Macrocosmic is an adjective describing something relating to or characteristic of the macrocosm, the larger universe as a whole, in contrast with microcosmic, which denotes the small or individual. The term derives from the Greek makros "large" and kosmos "world" or "order." In philosophical and mystical traditions, the macrocosm–microcosm pair expresses the idea that the whole cosmos is reflected in the smaller scales, including the human being or local systems. This view appears in Hermeticism, alchemy, and various religious cosmologies, where correspondences link celestial and terrestrial realms.
