légpárnák
Légpárnák, often translated as air cushions or airbags, are devices designed to absorb impact and protect individuals or objects from damage. In the context of transportation, particularly automobiles, légpárnák are safety features that deploy automatically during a collision. They are typically housed within the steering wheel, dashboard, side panels, and other areas of the vehicle. When sensors detect a significant impact, a chemical reaction or a small explosive charge inflates the légpárna rapidly with an inert gas, creating a cushion between the occupant and the vehicle's interior. This sudden inflation slows the occupant's forward motion, distributing the impact force over a larger area and reducing the risk of serious injury, such as head trauma or chest injuries.
Beyond automotive safety, the term légpárnák can also refer to inflatable devices used in packaging to protect
