lämpötilallisilla is a Finnish term that literally means “temperature lists” but has come to denote structured records of temperature measurements kept over a period of time. Such lists are used by meteorologists, climate researchers, and agricultural planners to treat temperature data as data sets rather than casual observations. They are distinct from weather diaries in that they adhere to a predetermined sampling schedule and statistical methodology.
