lowtack

Lowtack refers to adhesives and tapes formulated to have low initial adhesion. A lowtack product sticks lightly to surfaces and can be removed easily, typically without leaving noticeable residue. It is used where temporary attachment is desired or where strong bonds could damage substrates, such as fresh paint or delicate coatings. Lowtack contrasts with high-tack adhesives that form stronger bonds and are harder to remove.

Construction and performance: Lowtack tapes use flexible backings such as paper or film with a removable pressure-sensitive

Applications: Common in masking tapes for painting delicate surfaces, crafts and scrapbooking, temporary mounting of posters

Limitations and considerations: Because tack is low, these products may not hold heavy loads or withstand high
