Longtitude, often confused with latitude, is a geographic coordinate that measures the distance east or west of a physical location on the Earth's surface. It is an angular measurement, usually expressed in degrees, minutes, and seconds, similar to latitude. The concept of longtitude is essential in navigation, cartography, and geography.

The longtitude of a point is measured from a reference meridian, which is an imaginary line running through the North Pole, the equator, and the South Pole.
