Logikaipozitivizmusból is a Hungarian term that translates to "from logical positivism." It refers to the philosophical movement known as logical positivism, also called logical empiricism. This school of thought originated in the Vienna Circle in the 1920s and had a significant influence on 20th-century philosophy, particularly in the analytic tradition.

The central tenet of logical positivism is the verification principle, which states that a proposition is meaningful only if it is either empirically verifiable or analytically true by definition. Empirical verification means that the truth or falsity of the proposition can be determined through sensory experience and observation. Analytical truths are tautologies, such as "all bachelors are unmarried men," whose truth is guaranteed by the meanings of their terms.

Logical positivists sought to eliminate metaphysics and theology from philosophy, considering their propositions to be meaningless due to their lack of empirical verifiability. They aimed to reconstruct philosophy on a scientific basis, emphasizing logic and empirical evidence as the foundations for knowledge. Key figures associated with logical positivism include Moritz Schlick, Rudolf Carnap, Otto Neurath, and A.J. Ayer.

While logical positivism had a profound impact, it also faced significant criticisms, particularly regarding the strictness of the verification principle and its implications for scientific laws and ethical statements. These criticisms led to modifications and eventual decline of the movement in its original form, but its emphasis on clarity, logic, and empirical investigation continued to shape philosophical discourse.
