log10Vout refers to the base-10 logarithm of the output voltage, Vout. As a mathematical transform, it maps a positive voltage value into a logarithmic scale and is used in contexts where dynamic range needs compression or where logarithmic representations are standard.

In electronics, measurements are typically expressed as ratios. The conventional decibel form for voltage uses the ratio to a reference voltage: 20 log10(Vout/Vref). If the reference is 1 volt, this reduces to 20 log10(Vout). Note that the logarithm is defined only for positive arguments, so Vout must be positive in this direct form.
