Käyttöturvallisuustiedote, often abbreviated as KTT, is a Finnish term that translates to "safety data sheet" or "material safety data sheet" (MSDS). It is a document containing comprehensive information about a hazardous substance or mixture. The primary purpose of a KTT is to provide users with information regarding the safe handling, storage, use, and disposal of chemical products.

KTTs are crucial for ensuring workplace safety and protecting human health and the environment. They are legally required for substances and mixtures classified as hazardous under relevant regulations, such as REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) in the European Union, and its Finnish implementation.

A typical KTT includes sixteen standardized sections. These sections cover identification of the substance and supplier, hazard identification, composition/information on ingredients, first-aid measures, fire-fighting measures, accidental release measures, handling and storage, exposure controls/personal protection, physical and chemical properties, stability and reactivity, toxicological information, ecological information, disposal considerations, transport information, regulatory information, and other relevant information.

The information provided in a KTT allows employers to assess risks associated with chemical use and to implement appropriate control measures. It also guides workers on how to protect themselves and the environment from potential harm. Manufacturers and suppliers are responsible for preparing and providing KTTs for their products, and users are responsible for understanding and acting upon the information contained within them. These documents are essential tools for chemical risk management and communication throughout the supply chain.
