Finally, the gravitational force is theorized to be mediated by the graviton, a hypothetical massless particle. While the existence of gravitons is predicted by quantum gravity theories, they have not yet been experimentally detected.

The concept of quantum mediators is central to understanding how particles interact at the most fundamental level. Their existence and properties are derived from the mathematical framework of quantum field theory, which describes the universe in terms of fields rather than just discrete particles.
