Kutsed is a town and municipality in the fictional region of Veridia, located in the northern highlands beside the Kutsed River. It covers an area of approximately 60 square kilometers and had an estimated population of 3,900 as of 2022. The municipal seat is the town center.

The name Kutsed is derived from the old Veridian word for “junction” or “meeting place,” reflecting its historical role as a crossroads for nearby communities and trade routes.

Evidence of settlement in the area dates to the 12th century. It developed as an agricultural community, expanded in the 19th century with river trade, and gained formal municipal status in 1868. In the late 20th century, Kutsed diversified into small manufacturing and tourism.

Geographically, Kutsed lies at elevations of 320 to 520 meters, with a temperate highland climate. The surrounding landscape includes deciduous forests, small meadows, and the Kutsed Valley, with the river providing hydro power to several mills.

The economy centers on agriculture, light manufacturing, and tourism. The local government consists of a mayor and a 12-member council elected for four-year terms. Cultural life centers on the annual Kutsed Fair and the riverside market, with a tradition of woodcraft and weaving.
