Kulturelitet is a term used in sociology and cultural studies to describe a group of individuals who are perceived to possess a high level of cultural capital. This concept, often associated with the work of Pierre Bourdieu, suggests that this elite group has privileged access to and appreciation for what are considered "highbrow" cultural forms, such as classical music, fine art, and literature. Their taste and knowledge are often seen as markers of social distinction and influence.

The formation of a kulturelitet is not solely based on innate talent or intelligence but is largely shaped by social background, education, and upbringing.
