Kudostyypien refers to the classification of tissues found in living organisms. Tissues are groups of similar cells that perform a specific function. In animals, there are generally four primary types of tissues: epithelial, connective, muscle, and nervous tissue. Epithelial tissue covers body surfaces and lines cavities, serving functions like protection, secretion, and absorption. Connective tissue supports, connects, or separates different types of tissues and organs, examples including bone, cartilage, blood, and adipose tissue. Muscle tissue is responsible for movement, and it is composed of cells that have the special ability to shorten or contract. There are three types of muscle tissue: skeletal, smooth, and cardiac. Nervous tissue transmits nerve impulses, forming the brain, spinal cord, and nerves.
In plants, the tissues are also categorized, though with different structures and functions. The main tissue
