This testing involves preparing concrete specimens in the shape of cubes, typically with dimensions of 150 mm x 150 mm x 150 mm (6 inches), which are then cured under controlled conditions.

Once the specified curing period—often 28 days—is complete, the cubes are subjected to a compression test using a universal testing machine.
