Steganography is a technique that involves hiding information within another medium, such as an image or audio file, to conceal the existence of the message. This method differs from cryptography as it focuses on hiding the message rather than encrypting it.

Each of these cryptographic types serves different purposes and is chosen based on the specific requirements of the application, such as the need for speed, security, or data integrity.
