A kransestativ is a stand designed to support and display a wreath. It is used at funerals, memorial services, cemeteries, churches, and other ceremonies to present a wreath prominently or to keep it in place near a grave or memorial stone.

Designs vary. The most common forms are freestanding frames or posts with an attachment for securing the wreath. Some stands are simple U-shaped hooks on a weighted base; others have a vertical post with a ring, clamp, or hook from which the wreath is hung. There are also wall-mounted or grave-mounted versions that are anchored directly to a monument or placed in the ground.

Materials and construction: kransestativer are typically metal, such as steel, stainless steel, or aluminum, for durability; wood variants are also available for decorative purposes. Finishes may include powder coating, galvanizing, or lacquer to resist corrosion. Many models are foldable or collapsible for easy transport and storage.

Usage and placement: wreaths are attached with elastic cords, ties, or wire to the stand. At gravesites, the stand may be placed on the ground or secured with weights or anchors. In church or ceremony settings, portable stands may be placed on floors or steps and moved as needed. Size depends on wreath diameter and desired height, often accommodating wreaths around 40–70 cm in diameter and stands around 60–120 cm tall.
