Korotuktuntua is a traditional Inuit sled dog breed originating from the Arctic regions of Greenland and Canada. The breed is well-suited to the harsh, icy conditions of the Arctic environment and has been used for thousands of years by Inuit peoples for transportation and hunting.

Physically, Korotuktuntua dogs are medium-sized, with males typically weighing between 45-60 kg and standing approximately 48-56 cm at the shoulder. They have a thick, double coat that protects them from extreme cold and wet conditions, and their physical build is well-suited to pulling heavy loads in deep snow.

They are naturally well-suited to working in teams, and can be seen pulling sleds and carts in areas where the terrain is treacherous and the snow is deep.
