Konvektives is the German adjective used to describe processes that involve convection, i.e., the transport of heat, mass, or momentum by the bulk movement of a fluid. Such processes arise when fluid parcels become buoyant and rise, or when an external force such as a pump or fan drives flow, leading to mixing and exchange between different regions.

In meteorology, konvektive Prozesse refer to the vertical transport of heat and moisture in the atmosphere. They often lead to cloud formation and thunderstorm development, as unstable air parcels rise, cool, and condense. The intensity and occurrence of convective activity are influenced by atmospheric stability, temperature lapse rates, and available energy.

In engineering and applied physics, konvektives describes heat transfer by convection. This includes natural convection, where buoyancy drives the flow, and forced convection, where external devices propel the fluid.
