kontaktiton
Kontaktiton is a hypothetical elementary particle introduced in speculative discussions of physics to model a direct contact interaction between spatially separated systems. The name combines Kontakt, the German word for contact, with the -iton suffix common to particle names such as photon and gluon.
In proposed models, kontaktiton would be a boson that mediates a contact-like coupling between fields or subsystems.
Status and reception: Kontaktiton has no experimental support and is not part of the Standard Model. It
Origins and use: The term appears in thought experiments about nonlocality, quantum foundations, and networked systems
