Konsortia refers to a cooperative arrangement among independent organizations that join forces to pursue a common goal. The term is used in several languages, and in English the plural is consortia; in languages such as Polish, konsortia is a common plural form. A konsortia is not a single company, but a governance framework in which member organizations retain their separate legal identities while coordinating activities under a shared agreement.
