Kinyerni is a fictional ethnolinguistic term used in world-building to designate a coastal archipelago community and the language they speak. In common world-building scenarios, the kinyerni inhabit the Isthara Islands, a chain off the eastern coast of the imagined continent of Nereis. The population is imagined at roughly 15,000 to 20,000 speakers, organized into several matrilineal kin groups. The culture is described as distinct from neighboring populations, with a rich oral literature, ceremonial cycles, and specialized maritime knowledge.

Language is described as either a language isolate or part of a small, poorly attested family. It is typically depicted as analytic with a strong verbal component, and features that may include subject–verb–object (SVO) ordering, tonal or pitch-accent contrasts, and complex mood, aspect, and evidentiality markers.
