Insulation and warming systems provide frost protection, while ventilation and cooling manage overheating and humidity. Materials vary by purpose: mesh insect nets, hail nets with larger mesh, shading fabrics with different opacity, and glazing options like glass or polycarbonate that support protective layers. Economic considerations include cost, light transmission, and potential impacts on crop growth.
