kapselhotell
A kapselhotell, also known as a capsule hotel, is a type of accommodation that originated in Japan. These hotels feature a large number of small, prefabricated sleeping compartments, or capsules, stacked in two levels. Each capsule is typically just large enough to fit a single person and contains basic amenities such as a bed, a light, and an electrical outlet. Shared bathroom and lounge facilities are usually located on each floor.
The concept was first introduced in Osaka in 1979 by the architectural firm Kisho Kurokawa. Capsule hotels
