Külgkõrguselt is an Estonian adjective derived from the nouns *külg* (side) and *kõrgus* (height). It is primarily used in technical and engineering contexts to describe a measurement or property that is taken in relation to the side height of a structure. The side height (*külgkõrgus*) refers to the vertical dimension measured along a side surface, rather than along the main vertical axis. Consequently, külgkõrguselt refers to a condition, dimension, or calculation that is based on that side measurement.

In construction and civil engineering, the term is most commonly encountered in the documentation of slab or beam dimensions, where the side height influences load distribution, thermal behaviour, or compliance with building codes. For example, a concrete slab may be specified to have a thickness *külgkõrguselt* 10 cm, indicating that the thickness is measured perpendicular to the slab surface when viewed from the side.

In architectural drawings, a label such as “kõrgus külgkõrguselt” may accompany a dimension line, signalling that the reader should reference the side height axis rather than the main vertical axis.
