jarruvaatimukset
Jarruvaatimukset are the formal specifications and standards that define the acceptable performance of braking systems on vehicles. They are designed to ensure that vehicles can stop safely and reliably under a range of operating conditions, thereby protecting drivers, passengers and other road users. In Finland, jarruvaatimukset are largely derived from European Union legislative framework, including the EU Regulation (EC) No. 661/2009 on motor vehicles and their trailers. The Regulation sets minimum emergency braking distances for light cars, heavy trucks and buses, which are expressed in terms of slip percentage, vehicle speed and road type. Additionally, national supervisions, under the Finnish Transport Agency, integrate the EU prescriptions with domestic enforcement action and technical assessment procedures.
Key performance indicators within jarruvaatimukset encompass braking torque, hydraulic pressure, pedal force, deceleration curves, and purely
