Inédites (feminine plural) is a French term used to designate works that have not been published, released, or publicly shown. The masculine form is inédits, and the singular forms are inédit (masculine) and inédite (feminine). The root is éditer, to publish, with the prefix in- meaning not, giving the sense "not published."

In publishing and literature, an inédit denotes manuscripts, drafts, or texts that have not yet appeared in print. In the arts, it can refer to works kept back from public display, such as unpublished paintings, sketches, or newly discovered materials in archives. In music and film, inédits describe unreleased tracks, demos, outtakes, or archival footage that has not been publicly issued.

Posthumous editions and discoveries often involve inédites, for example a writer's or musician's works that are released after death. The designation also appears in media and fan discourse to signal rarity or newness and to frame a release as offering previously unknown material.
