Inviado is not a standard lexical item in major Romance-language dictionaries. In most contexts, it is seen as a misspelling or typographical variant of the word envio/enviado, depending on the language, rather than as a distinct word with its own meaning.

In Spanish and Portuguese, the correct form is typically enviado, meaning “sent” (as a past participle) or, in noun form, an envoy or emissary. The sequence inv- in inviado is not used in standard orthography for these languages, and most authorities would flag inviado as an erroneous form. In Italian, the equivalent correct form is inviato, the past participle of inviare, meaning “sent.” Because of the close visual similarity to these correct forms, inviado may occasionally appear in multilingual texts or as a result of transcription errors, but it does not have an independent meaning in these languages.

As a potential cross-language confusion, inviado can arise in multilingual publishing, translation work, or OCR processing, where automatic substitutions lead to nonstandard spellings.
