Interferencing is a term used to describe the phenomenon where two or more waves overlap and interact with each other. When waves interfere, their amplitudes combine. This combination can result in a larger amplitude (constructive interference) or a smaller amplitude, potentially canceling out completely (destructive interference). The specific outcome depends on the phase relationship between the waves. If the crests of two waves align, they will add together to create a larger crest. If a crest of one wave aligns with a trough of another wave of equal amplitude, they will cancel each other out.
