Inkjet deposition is a non-contact additive manufacturing technique that utilizes inkjet printheads to precisely deposit droplets of material onto a substrate. This process is analogous to how an inkjet printer creates images on paper, but instead of ink, specialized materials such as polymers, ceramics, metals, or biological substances are used. The core principle involves ejecting very small volumes of liquid material in controlled patterns, layer by layer, to build up a three-dimensional object or to deposit functional coatings.
