iletici

Iletici is a Turkish noun formed from the verb ilet- meaning “to convey” or “to transmit,” with the agentive suffix -ici, which yields a sense of “one who conveys” or “that which conveys.” In general use, iletici denotes something that conveys or transmits a message, signal, or substance from one place or person to another. It can be used broadly to refer to a conduit or intermediary in a process.

In everyday Turkish, iletici is less common for describing electronic transmitters and more typical in a broader or older linguistic sense. For technical contexts, verici is the more standard term for a transmitter, and iletken is used for a conductor. Nevertheless, iletici can appear in compound expressions such as iletici eleman (transmitting element) or iletici sistem (transmission system), where the sense remains that of conveying or transmitting a signal or content.

Beyond technical usage, iletici can be employed in a conceptual or mediational sense within discussions of communication. In this sense, it can refer to an intermediary that conveys information between parties, channels, or stages of a process, rather than to a specific electronic device.
