IHOP, officially International House of Pancakes, is an American multinational casual dining restaurant chain known for its pancakes and all-day breakfast offerings. The first IHOP restaurant opened in 1958 in Toluca Lake, California, founded by brothers Al and Jerry Lapin. The name IHOP is an acronym for International House of Pancakes, though the brand is commonly marketed simply as IHOP. The chain expanded rapidly through franchising, growing beyond California and the United States to international locations over the following decades.

In 2007, IHOP Corporation merged with Applebee's International to form DineEquity, a company later renamed Dine Brands Global in 2018. What remains central to IHOP's identity is a menu that emphasizes breakfast items served throughout the day, including a wide range of pancakes, crepes, omelettes, French toast, waffles, and other entrées such as burgers and sandwiches.
