A højttalerkasse, or speaker enclosure, is the cabinet or housing that encloses a loudspeaker driver. Its primary purpose is to prevent the sound waves produced by the back of the diaphragm from interfering with the sound waves from the front, a phenomenon known as acoustic cancellation. Without an enclosure, the bass frequencies would be significantly reduced, as the opposing waves would cancel each other out.

The design of a højttalerkasse has a profound impact on the speaker's overall performance, particularly its frequency response, efficiency, and distortion. Different types of enclosures exist, each suited for specific audio applications and driver characteristics.
