Håndavstøpning is a term originating from Scandinavian languages, literally translating to "hand casting" or "hand molding." It refers to the process of creating a three-dimensional replica of a person's hand. This is typically achieved using a molding material, such as alginate or silicone, which captures the fine details of the skin and any jewelry worn. Once the mold is set, a casting material, commonly plaster or a similar gypsum-based product, is poured into it.
