Hyoidbenet is a term used primarily in speculative anatomy and in some fictional or broader discussions to describe a proposed network of connective tissue and microvascular channels associated with the hyoid bone. The term is not part of standard anatomical nomenclature and has limited use in peer-reviewed literature.

In the hypothetical model, hyoidbenet would be a porous, net-like arrangement surrounding the greater and lesser horns of the hyoid, extending toward adjacent pharyngeal and laryngeal structures. It would be closely linked with the suprahyoid and infrahyoid muscle groups and with ligaments that suspend the hyoid.

Proposed functions include stabilization of hyoid position during swallowing and speech, aiding local blood flow, or coordinating airway patency. However, there is no empirical evidence for such a network; no imaging, dissection, or histological data supports it as a discrete anatomical entity.

In conventional anatomy, the hyoid bone serves as an attachment point for multiple muscles and ligaments, and standard discussions focus on structures such as the hyoglossus, digastric, mylohyoid muscles, and the thyrohyoid membrane. Because hyoidbenet lacks established evidence, it remains a speculative term and is not used in clinical practice.
