hoglins

Hoglins are hostile mobs found in the Nether dimension in Minecraft. They are large, boar-like creatures with prominent tusks and a stocky build. Hoglins are aggressive and will attack any player they see, as well as other mobs like zombies and skeletons. They are known for their powerful charge attack, which can knock players back and deal significant damage.

Hoglins are native to the Crimson Forest biome in the Nether. They spawn in groups and often roam the area. They are attracted to Warped Fungi and can be lured away from players using them. Conversely, they are repelled by other types of fungi, such as Crimson Fungi, and will flee from them. This repulsion is a key mechanic for players trying to manage hoglin encounters.

When killed, hoglins drop porkchops and leather. Porkchops can be cooked and eaten for hunger restoration, while leather can be used for crafting. Hoglins can be bred by feeding them hoglin crops, which are obtained by trading with Piglins.

Baby hoglins are smaller and less dangerous than adult hoglins. They will not attack players unless provoked. If a baby hoglin is near a baby zombie, it can be transformed into a zombified hoglin when the baby zombie is exposed to sunlight. This transformation does not occur in the Nether due to the absence of direct sunlight. Hoglins are a significant threat in the Nether and require players to be cautious and prepared when exploring areas where they are present.
