The Hoglin is a hostile mob found in the Nether dimension in Minecraft. They are pig-like creatures with tusks and a generally aggressive demeanor. Hoglins are larger than regular pigs and possess a reddish-brown hide. They spawn in groups within the Crimson Forest biome.

These creatures are primarily dangerous to players due to their charge attack. When provoked or when a player comes too close, a Hoglin will lower its head and charge, dealing significant damage. They can also be a threat to other mobs in the Nether.

Hoglins can be bred by feeding them Warped Fungus. When bred, they produce a baby Hoglin. Unlike other mobs that drop food when killed, Hoglins drop raw porkchops and leather, similar to their overworld counterparts. They are also susceptible to damage from sweet berries, and can be repelled by placing Warped Fungi nearby. Players can also equip a carved pumpkin to prevent Hoglins from attacking them, as they are naturally afraid of pumpkins. If a Hoglin is somehow brought to the Overworld or the End, it will transform into a Zoglin after a short period, a more powerful and aggressive variant.
